Foster Parenting is more than wanting to care for a child. You will need to help raise and nurture the child in partnership with the agency and the child’s family of origin. Becoming a foster parent is a serious decision and we will help you become fully prepared through training and other resources.
Creating an environment that is nurturing, loving, and safe is essential for all children, especially who have experienced trauma, all licensed foster parents are provided with support and resources necessary to provide the best care for our children.
Families residing in Prince George’s County must meet the eligibility requirements as set by the State of Maryland. All eligible Foster Parents will work with agency staff who will assist with meeting the program criteria. Getting to know you and your family, will ensure our children are in loving and nurturing homes.
Our agency is a public child welfare foster care agency whose primary goal is reunification of children with their families of origin. Foster care by design is meant to be temporary. When family foster care is needed children are placed in the homes of licensed foster parents until they can safely return home or another options for permanency is achieved.
